Sign that says Drug Take Back

The Littleton Police Department (LPD) proudly participated in its biannual Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 25, successfully collecting over 300 pounds of unused and expired prescription medication from the community. This initiative plays a vital role in preventing medication misuse, reducing the risk of accidental poisoning, and protecting the environment.

The department extends its appreciation to all residents who took the time to dispose of their medications safely. The strong turnout reflects the community’s commitment to public safety and responsible practices.

As a reminder, community members do not have to wait for the next event to dispose of medications. Unused or expired drugs can be dropped off year-round at the Littleton City Center, located at 2255 West Berry Avenue, Monday through Friday during regular business hours.

The LPD thanks the community for its continued support in keeping Littleton safe.
