Several officers with the Littleton Police Department (LPD) can now increase their proactive patrols utilizing new e-bikes thanks to a donation from the Littleton Business Chamber.

LPD’s Special Enforcement and Tactics (SET) team is a team that focuses on many tasks for the department, one of which is proactive policing in the Littleton community. These bikes will allow officers to patrol the Downtown area, parks, trails, and open space across the city, covering more ground more quickly to better serve the community as well as respond to emergencies faster.

The effort was made possible by the Littleton Business Chamber, which recently presented a $13,600 check to the chief to support the effort.

The chamber raised the money in 2023 at their holiday gala and auction, exceeding their fundraising goal of $5,000.

“The way the Littleton Business Chamber supports the Littleton Police Department is amazing. It gives these officers the confidence to go out and do their jobs and keep Littleton safe,” said Police Chief Doug Stephens.
