During the Littleton City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 15, Littleton Mayor, Kyle Schlachter, proclaimed the second week of April as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. This proclamation was made following the passage of House Bill 24-1016, making Colorado the 18th state to officially define emergency communication specialists as first responders.

The Mayor, city council, and Chief of Police recognized and thanked the entire dispatch team for the tireless work they do every day to keep Littleton safe.

“Without a doubt you are the voice of calm, often during traumatic experiences when someone is experiencing the worst day of their life. I am proud to be the Chief of a department that has such an exceptional professional staff,” said Chief Stephens.
