LPD has learned that the stolen motorcycle crashed after being contacted by a patrol vehicle, and did not crash of its own accord as was stated in the original release.

The suspect in the February 2, Littleton Police Department (LPD) Officer Involved Shooting has been identified as Stephen Poolson Jr.
Poolson is a 41-year-old white male. This continues to be an active investigation.

3:22 a.m. February 2
The Littleton Police Department (LPD) contacted a suspicious vehicle at 1:05 a.m. on Thursday, February 2, near the intersection of Bannock and Powers. The individual was driving a motorcycle and crashed. When the officer attempted to contact him, the individual ran and produced a gun. The LPD officer fired at the suspect. The suspect has been transported to the hospital; his condition is unknown at this time. The LPD officer is uninjured. This is an ongoing investigation and there is no current threat to the public.
