The Littleton Police Department (LPD) and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) provide the public the opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.
LPD will be participating in National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Bring medications for disposal to the Littleton City Center, 2255 W. Berry Avenue.
Bring medicines for disposal to the Littleton Center, 2255 W. Berry Avenue in Littleton, during normal business hours, and drop them in the disposal box in the front lobby. LPD can only accept pills or patches; no liquids, needles, or sharps. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
Helping people dispose of potentially harmful prescription drugs is just one way the LPD is working to reduce addiction and stem overdose deaths.
The FDA also provides information on how to properly dispose of prescription drugs. For more information about the event, call the LPD at 303-795-3881 or visit the DEA's Drug Take Back site.
